FOR STUDENTS:

To get to the Teacher Share folder go into computer, then Teacher Share, Gneat, Shared,
Engineering, P4 or P5 depending on your period, then there are the pictures and notebooks.

A little about me :)

Hello! This is my website and I'm the TA for Dr. Neat's 4th period. WOOHOO!
I am summarizing each day and what happened in each period.
If any students miss class then they can just come here to see what happened that day.
My bones don't like me. I just recently broke my toes and earlier years
I've broken my femur and dislocated my 2nd toe on the right leg.

1/7/15
Today we came back from break and immediately had a Wednesday Challenge which involved this year's FIRST Robotics Competition!
All teams had to watch the game video and tryed to score a match. In the end all teams had to score one match as perfectly as possible to win.

1/8/15
Some students tried to score a senario that happened in fifth period for the FIRST robotics match.
Students were also buddied up with a partner to work with for their websites. This partner would try to help them through any trouble they have with
their robot. Also trying to better their website this semester. At the end of the period, Dr. Neat informed students how to compress photos!

1/9/15
Students went back into their buddied groups and Dr. Neat informed students how to link a photo to their website.

1/12/15
Today students were given a warm up to find the dimensions of a robot in this year's game and created it in google sketch up.
Students were also instructed to create a plastic crate to see how many, if any, can fit inside a robot.

1/13/15
Today students added links to their webpage that had all of their wednesday challenges in one link and
all of their pictures in another!

1/14/15
Wednesday Challenge! Today students had to measure weights on a scale. The objective was to find out how the
scale actually worked! The weights felt different when you carried them in your hands?! What's going on?

1/15/15
Today students updated their websites! Keep them up-to-date!

1/16/15
Today students watched the movie: Changing the Face of Mars. Every Friday, Dr. Neat wants students to learn
more about the real world.

1/20/15
Today students made a google sketchup of the human player tote dispenser. They tried to make
it as close to what the robotics members had already built.

1/21/15
Today's Wednesday challenge was in huge groups. Students sat in a circle and had to throw plastic tubes to each other.
The tubes were passed to one person to the right and no tubes could touch the ground. First stage was sitting down,
the second was standing up, and lastly they had to throw it to every other person.

1/22/15
Today students worked hard to get their websites online. Having only 2 folders and one html file in their main folder.
Wednesday challenge forms were also completed today.

1/23/15
We finished putting everyone online today. Also they finished the movie about going to Mars.

1/26/15
Today students learned how to use the rotate tool in google sketchup! Each student made their own clock in sketcup
and they needed to get their clock hands to rotate to whatever time Dr. Neat called out.

1/27/15
Today students were with their partners updating their websites.

1/28/15
Today's Wednesday challenge was to create a handout for our robtoics competition. There were a couple requirements:
they must be fun, homemade, under 50 cents a piece, and has the number 589 on them.

1/29/15
Today each group presented their handout idea from yesterday.

1/30/15
Today Dr. Neat brought in a video of what his wife has been working on at JPL. The mission was called SMAP.
The satellite is going to be launched soon and it was made to measure the soil of the Earth.

2/2/15
Today students used google sketchup to make skateboard wheels! Soon they may make the entire skateboard in class!

2/5/15
Students were given a two day Wednesday challenge. They first needed to create instructions in google sketchup to make
a cardboard E. They then gave these sketchups to another group and that group did their best to fabricate it as close to the
sketchup as possible.

2/6/15
Today students were given their E that they were going to fabricate.

2/10/15
Today students made a metal bar 1 inch by 1 inch bar in google sketchup.
With this bar they proceeded to make their initials out of metal bars in sketchup.

2/11/15
Today's Wednesday challenge was to make the handout (in the previous Wednesday challenge) more efficient. They needed to
find what materials were cheap and also how we could make it quicker.

2/12/15
Today students were given time to work on their cardboard cars. They have to make a car that drives down a slope in as straight
of a line as possible.

2/13/15
Today students worked with their partner on their websites.

2/17/15
Today students used google sketchup to create the components of the handout! They made a button, a LED light, batteries, and the tote itself.

2/18/15
Today's Wednesday Challenge is a couple days long. Students were put in groups to create a box that held a potato chip (Pringle chip).
This box would be sent through the mail back to CV and hopefully the chip won't be broken.

2/19/15
Today students were given time to work on one of three things: their car, their potato chip box, or their websites.

2/20/15
Students sat with their partner and worked on websites today.

2/23/15
Today students made sketchups of their cardboard car! This was to help them visualize any problems with their car before creating it.

2/24/15
Today students were given time to make their car or their potato chip box.

2/25/15
Today was part two of the potato chip Wednesday challenge. Students had to finish their potato chip box and hand it off to be sent back to CV.

2/26/15
Today students worked on their website or their cardboard car.

2/27/15
Today students worked with their partner to update their websites. Students also worked on their cars.
